In January, we had the chance to visit family in South Africa and Namibia. The idea of traveling so many miles with a toddler was a little daunting but Isaac did very well and things went as smoothly as they could (more on traveling with a toddler coming soon).
While in Cape Town, Isaac enjoyed “helping” his Granny with the washing, Rich and I spent 8 hours together at Cape Point (which is the longest amount of time we’ve collectively been away from Isaac since his birth), and we all were able to meet our sweet new little niece, Ava.
In Namibia, Isaac experienced many firsts. It was his first time meeting much of his Brock family, his first climb up the dunes (via Papa and our Ergobaby carrier), and his first desert braai. It was special for Rich to take Isaac to places that were familiar in his own childhood and it’s always neat to have multi-generations of Brock men in one room.
